Camera and Vaccine

We left our camera under a pile of leaves for several days-- but the pictures survived!! Will post them as soon as we figure out how without a camera.

Loss of the camera prevented us from capturing the truly strange, kind of wonderful and kind of horrible experience we had last night of all waiting in line for 4 hours at the local high school to get h1n1 vaccine shots. There was a wonderful community spirit outside-- kids playing, friendly volunteers, people getting hot chocolate for eachother, that kind of became awful once you got inside and it was hot and the lines were still long and the vaccine supply started to run out. They had 1000 doses and we were numbers 643-45. (Clare got a dose along with the boys, but Dave and I are not at-risk.) Our baby friend Anna Del Guercio got dose number 999. We all got home at 8:30, and Clare got a chance to drive on the right side of the road!

It looked something like this, except not really.

Airport and Emmett crawls (sort of)!

At last, from the vault, the highly anticipated Albany airport shots.

We were really glad to see Grandpa Peter too.

And here is Emmet learning to crawl! This was a week ago and already he's much better.

and here are Clare and Emmett, who are both so cute.

There are a lot of sniffles around the house, but no swine flu . . . yet.

Vermont with Arthur and Elsie

Well, we were so excited to get there we took two pictures at the airport and left the camera on until it died. Those pics to follow as soon as we find the charger. But here are some lovely moments sent by Grandpa Peter. We miss you Elsie! And you too Arthur and Grandpa Peter and Grandma Susan!

You can't tell, but here the cousins continue their display of their adorable bottoms all over the eastern sea board. In this case their pants were wet after some tsunamis washed up on the shore of the pond.

Here they form a sweet marching band that was not as much appreciated by the people in the living room as we thought.

Here they quell the eruption of Mt. Arthur.

And read books and frolicked like little mountain goats.

Clare and Emmett did some frolicking as well.

Since Grandpa Peter took this, he isn't in them. But we'll post some more soon. Catch ya later, and no fair peeking at those little bottoms, ok?

Emmett at a Shower

While Thomas and Will were riding that bronco, Mommy and Emmett traveled north to Philly to fete Kuhn cousin Olivia on the eve of her wedding. Here is Emmett modeling part of his outfit for the event-- a blue handknit sweater from Mommy's secretary Jane.

And here he is working the ladies at the event.

It was quite a tribute, and the bride looked fetching.

Emmett could only play it cool for so long before he had to act his age.

Grandma Nancy and cousin Kristen showcased their soothing skills.

The Kuhn female dynasty:

And here is a fond memory of some of these same ladies earlier in the season. Adios. xox
