Extravaganza!

These all deserve their own posts, but we're playing catch up here.

Thomas at his last day of school performance. Next to him is Julian. Thomas told us Julian was moving to Egypt too! We had his family over for a playdate and found out that in fact they are moving back to Chile with the World Bank. But Julian's mother had been wondering about his sudden interest in ancient Egypt.

Science!

Thomas plans to run a science school when he is older. Anticipated staff include Grandpa Peter, who will teach about nuclear power, Devan, who will teach zoology, and Mommy may be able to teach about the law of scientific discoveries. Everything else will be taught by Thomas, and Emmett will go to this school.

Grand Kathy got the ball rolling with a wonderful hand-painted shirt that we hope will be the school uniform:

Unclear what Emmett's role is, but Thomas used to cast him as "Baby Hook." Maybe that's where the pirates come in.

Another favorite super hero character, not captured here, is OctipiMan. His super power is squirting purple ink at enemies.

Because Emmett has a proper English governess he has very good manners. As does his Grand Kathy, as illustrated below.



Devan has also found a donor match. His parents are relieved. He's home from the hospital getting outpatient therapy now. Below he and Thomas begin cleaning out his fireplace. It took me a minute to realize that this wasn't such a good idea.
