The boy sitting next to Thomas on the right is our neighbor Devon. He's great. Last year he had leukemia but he seems to have recovered pretty well. His mom is a journalist just like Daddy!
Here are Thomas' teachers Ms. Basil . . .
and Mrs. Bilbao, behind Thomas below.
They are very nice. Once they moved the sand table when Thomas didn't want them to and he told them he was going to destroy their lives. But most of the time, we really like them.
Thomas is amazed at how much taller he is now that he's four. And now here is a rare picture of two honey bees in their hive. The queen bee is supervising.
And here's Emmett illustrating his pull-up skills. This isn't actually a new trick, but somehow we've failed to document it here before. Go E!

While I'm a huge fan of pictures of the boys, this is an exceptionally fun post to read, of all the fun posts on this blog. The writer deserves lots of props.

Am writing this from DC, the scene of many of these wonderful family pictures. It's all true, the cupcakes at school, the crown with the 4 on it, the pull up skills and the queen bee in her hive. Right now I'm babysitting two sleeping little boys while their parents are at a power dinner. The tree is up, mistletoe in place and 30 people showing up for lunch and birthday cake tomorrow.
Thomas IS taller and able to converse with even more wit and wisdom than before. In response to the check out guy at the supermarket asking if he would be a football player when he grew up, Thomas said that he was "actually more interested in science than in sports."
This was as good as a visit to the Bradford/Kirkpattricks --I got to see the new house and the stunning dining room table--and Thomas being kingly at his school birthday party and Emmett growing up to be a real live walking little boy--and such a cutie! It was so nice to see the Baptism event too. Congratulations---can't wait to go from virtual visit to real visit over Christmas! xoxo Mim
Now that I have actually met Devon could I say that he is on Thomas's left not his right.
