Vermont Part I

We enjoyed another magical post-Christmas week at the family seat in Vermont.

Some of us needed a gentle introduction to country life:

Some of us took to it like a duck to water:

Emmett enjoyed the big couch:

Arthur fed Theo some beer:

Grandpa Peter read to the little ones.

And this was practically just the first day!!!

post-feast activity

After ham with vermouth sauce, we went out to build a snow dinosaur.

It turned out pretty well.

Do you feel as if you're riding the slow train through christmas?

But actually it's kind of nice, right?

christmas day!

Is there any joy greater than coming down in your pj's on christmas morning?

Washington DC has been voted one of the ten best lunch spots for christmas day, according to Rolling Stone magazine.

Santa was extraordinarily generous, and even stuck around to read some stories:

We loved every minute Houstons! Come back next year!

Here Come the Christmas Scallywags

We don't even know why they're called this but the name seems to fit.

We went in search of sledding.

Thomas wanted to go down in a sled once by himself. Grand Kathy stayed at the bottom to catch him. It was a hair-raising ride, but all survived except the sled.

We miss you-- come back soon!
